It's been nearly 15 days since IPL has stopped. Due to the outbreak of COVID, the match KKR vs RCB scheduled on 3rd May was postponed and on the next day, BCCI declared that IPL was suspended. Many Cricketers left the country and some are here and franchises are taking care of them.

India is in a horrible situation, the COVID cases have been rising, shortage of oxygen, unavailability of hospital beds, 4L cases/day. It's very sad. Please stay home and stay safe and get Vaccinated. Thanks to all foreign cricket players who supported India in this tough time.

Meanwhile, Harsha Bhogle in conversation with Jos Buttler asked him to pick his all-time IPL XI. The full episode was released in Cricbuzz premium.

Jos Buttler, the England WK-Batsman has played 50 tests, 148 ODI, and 79 T20I's scoring 2728, 3872, and 1723 run respectively. He is a well-known finisher in white-ball cricket. He also opens in T20 cricket. In IPL 2021, he scored 254 runs in 7 matches striking at 153. He also scored a century(124 runs)  vs Sun Risers Hyderabad. It's also the highest score by England Batsman in IPL. The previous best was 114 by Johnny Bairstow vs RCB in 2019.

Jos Buttler made his IPL Debut back in 2016 for Mumbai Indians and currently playing for Rajasthan Royals since 2018. From his debut, he scored 1968 runs at an average of 35.18 and striking at 150. He has scored 11 half-century and 1 century.

Jos Buttler IPL XI:

Jos Buttler

Rohit Sharma

Virat Kohli

AB de Villers

Mahendra Singh Dhoni(WK)

Kieron Pollard

Ravindra Jadeja

Harbhajan Singh

Bhuvneswar Kumar

Jasprit Bumrah

Lasith Malinga

Definitely, he picked the best out of all, and Harsha Bhogle mentioned he should be in the playing XI.

Coming to the team, it's unquestionable from all aspects. The team has the best openers, best finishers, and the best bowlers the IPL has seen. Opening with Buttler and Rohit is a huge positive aspect and it's a run-fest for the team in Power play overs.

Buttler went with Virat, AB de Villers, and MS Dhoni as his middle order. With ABD and Dhoni, the team can finish every chase with ease. Moreover, Buttler idolizes Dhoni a lot for his Captaincy skills and finishing the games so calmly. Buttler trying to learn from Dhoni in different parts of his career and I think he's the Captain for his IPL XI.

With Pollard, he can change any game and he's going with Harbhajan and Jadeja has frontline spinners. They are the most experienced spinners in the IPL. Harbhajan has 150 wickets taken at an average of 26.87 and Jadeja has 120 wickets taken at an average of  30.26. Apart from stat, we'll see the growth of Jadeja as an ALL-Rounder. No one can forget the Jadeja All-round performance in IPL 2021 against RCB. He scored 62*(28) with the bat, 4-1-13-3 with Ball, and taken 3 catches on the field.

Facing the new ball with Malinga and Bhuvi. It's a great moment to watch and Bumrah can bowl at the death. The trio has the ability to swing the ball in initial overs and also bowl at the death. The trio has 424 wickets combined.

Stat: Malinga - 170, Bumrah - 115, Bhuvneswar - 139

I feel Suresh Raina is the one missing out. Raina has been not in form for the last 2 seasons, but he is a veteran in IPL. Raina has played 200 matches in IPL. He scored 5491 runs at an average of 33.08. He has a strike rate of 136.86 which is more than Rohit and Kohli. He scored 9 half-centuries and 1 century in IPL.
