South Africa won the series by winning the first 2 ODI's against Australia. This time it is under the captaincy of Quinton de Cock. South Africa backed itself and its great comeback by them after the series loss to England a month ago. This is a special win for Proteas as this is a first series win in a year.

This is one of the rare instances where Man of the Match is shared by two Players. Can you believe this?

Janneman Malan and Lungi Ndigi star in 2nd ODI vs Australia with bat and ball. Australia batting first posted a total of 271-10. Whereas, after the dismissal of both openers the middle order failed to deliver and the South African team bowled really well. Lungi Ndigi stars with the ball by taking 6 wickets for 58 which is his career-best figure.

Janneman Malan is a very talented and great addition to the South-African side.

Australia raced away to 50 in their first 7 overs. Then Australia suddenly nips to 81/3 where Ndigi dismissed Steven Smith and Marnus Labuschagne in consecutive deliveries, then Captain Aaron Finch adding 77 run partnership with D Arcy Short. After Finch reached his Half-Century, he was struck by Nortje and Mitchell Marsh and Short adding 66 runs for 5th wicket and D Arcy Short completed his maiden ODI 50. At that stage, the Australian side thinking of 290-300. South Africa came back strongly and restricted Australia to 271.

Stat: Lungi Ndigi is the fastest ever South African to take 50 wickets. He has done that in 26 matches.

Australia struck South Africa early in the chase by dismissing South African skipper De Cock for a 3 ball duck. Here comes Janneman Malan who was dismissed for a duck in 1st ODI has scored a century and helped South Africa to seal their first series win in a year. Jon Jon Smuts who has come in the place of Temba Bavuma after his injury added 91 run stand by reviving the South African innings. After Adam Zampa has broken the stand, Pat Cummins dismissed Verreynne early after bringing the in-form Henrich Klassen. The Centurion in the last match added 81 run stand, soon after completing his 50 he was dismissed by Zampa. Then Malan still in the chase added 90 run stand with David Miller which came of 61 balls. They successfully completed the chase in 48.3 overs.

Janneman Malan registered his maiden his ODI ton in his first-ever ODI series. Lungi Ndigi who has taken 6 wickets with the ball and become the fastest ever South African to do that feat. This is the highest successful chase at the Bloemfontein. They both shared the Man of the Match of their Performances

Special credits to Quinton De Cock, failing with bat in both the matches have never held back and helped South Africa to seal the series with his captaincy. South Africa has found its young talent and slowly recovering to get back.
